Hello and welcome!

I’m David Edward Booth – The Recording Booth (see what I did there?). I’m a music producer, songwriter, recording & mixing engineer, multi-instrumentalist and mentor. The Recording Booth is also the name of my boutique recording studio at my home in Suffolk, UK. I’m someone who cares about your project. Someone to be the extra ears, provide the objective overview and give honest, constructive opinions as well as manage the studio time efficiently. I have 25 years of professional experience from both the artist and recording engineer/producer perspectives. I understand what you’re feeling!
Sometimes I work with clients remotely. Perhaps you’re in Sweden and have your own music studio where you produce your songs to a pretty high standard, but really need someone with fresh ears to do the mix or add some real drums and extra fairy-dust production? No problem!
You probably have questions, which I’ll do my best to answer here on the site. But it’s often easier to have a chat, so whether you’re not sure how to take the next step or if you know exactly what you need from your studio session and you want to make a booking enquiry please call me on 07803031240. Important note on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in song/music creation…

I understand how powerful these tools are and that many people are enjoying using AI in creative ways. It’s just not something I’m comfortable with. To be clear, if you’re an artist that uses AI in your creative process, I’m probably not the producer for you.

David is a fantastic, annoyingly talented producer who I'm fairly sure uses witchcraft to create beautiful sounds!
Not only can he add pretty much any instrument to your music, he'll make you sound great, and make you feel at home all at the same time!
I've worked with a number of producers and engineers over the years, and will always recommend David - especially if you're on the folkier side of music - but even if you aren't, he'll add a new dimension to your music that you never knew existed! (Just don't forget to bring biscuits)

Dave Booth is blessed with fantastic ears, and a knack for putting together a great harmony. He makes a great producer as he listens, and he doesn't let technology bog things down, but does know exactly when to use it to the project's benefit. I've worked with David several times. He's very professional and easy to work with and has a great ear for detail. Always wants to get the best out of you, so if he hears something that isn't quite working, he'll say so and make suggestions to improve. I recorded my first EP with my band with David. We then recorded three albums. I've also done a number of side project things with him too. Did you need more of a recommendation than that? Ok, he is an all round top bloke, listens to you, tunes in to you, but has the balls to suggest when you should listen to him. He is 100% committed to producing you great sounding results. I always said that when we make it big, I would involve David with our work. We didn't make it big, but I can't lay all the blame on him. Work with David. Now. Do it.
